David Pinski is the Chief Strategist for Financial Innovation at Hitachi’s Global Center for Social Innovation. In this role, he heads research and development of new products and services with a particular focus on blockchain and data analytics technologies. He has worked for major banks such as Capital One, ING Direct, Bank of America and a number of startups. He has over a dozen patents filed (seven issued) in the area of fraud mitigation, payment networks and banking systems. Hitachi, based in Japan, is a leading global fintech vendor supporting one of the largest contributing teams to the Hyperledger Fabric project. Its research into blockchain technologies predates Bitcoin.
