Sarah Turner

CEO & Co-Founder, Angel Academe
Sarah is a technologist, entrepreneur and angel investor. She's spent most of her career working in digital technology in the UK, US and Asia as an advisor and connector for start-ups and corporates. In 2014 she co-founded the award-winning angel network, Angel Academe.
Angel Academe invests in women founded and co-founded technology startups with high growth potential. Investments include: Provenance, which uses the blockchain to improve food supply chain transparency; Raremark which uses AI to help patients with rare diseases make informed choices about care; and Fiskl, a fintech for micro-businesses.
Angel Academe investors are mainly but not only women. Some of them are entrepreneurs, others are senior professionals, have portfolio careers or are on career breaks. They collaborate to evaluate investment opportunities, make investments and then support the entrepreneurs they back.
Sarah is also a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Investment Committee of the Low Carbon Innovation Fund and is on the board of the UK Business Angels Association. She’s one of Computer Weekly’s 2018 50 Most Influential Women in Tech and a member of the 2016 Maserati 100.
