Yuval Rooz

Co-Founder and CEO, Digital Asset

Yuval is co-founder and CEO of Digital Asset, the New York-based technology company that created the Daml smart contract language. Digital Asset works through an ecosystem of partners to develop Daml-driven platforms and applications, allowing you to get to market first.

Yuval co-founded the company in 2014 and served as Chief Financial Officer until 2018 and Chief Operating Officer until he was named CEO in March 2019. 

As a co-founder and COO, Yuval hired the majority of the company’s executive leadership, established its presence in six countries and facilitated the acquisition of four tech startups in two years. Yuval also helped the company secure more than $150 Million in funding from more than 20 strategic investors and grew trusted relationships with Digital Asset’s clients and partners, including the ASX, Broadridge, and VMware. Today, the company’s partners have enabled Daml to work with multiple distributed ledger platforms, such as VMware Blockchain, Hyperledger Fabric, Hyperledger Sawtooth, Corda and Amazon’s QLDB and Aurora. 

Prior to Digital Asset, Yuval managed an algorithmic trading desk at DRW Trading and he launched DRW Venture Capital as a member of the firm’s investment team. He also worked as a developer at Citadel. 

Yuval has a bachelors of science in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is based at the company’s headquarters in New York City.
